Meet Raffi

Raffi Micah is a 2-year-old Red Golden Retriever and a certified Therapy Dog through the Alliance of Therapy Dogs. Raffi works alongside Jennifer Lipson, a Spanish teacher at Discovery Middle School, where he spreads calm and joy throughout the building.

Students say Raffi’s presence helps reduce anxiety, and he’s been especially impactful in working with self-contained classrooms—helping students learn how to approach, pet, and communicate with animals. When he’s not passing out papers or giving hugs, Raffi enjoys walks, playing with any toy his brother has, and napping on his back with his paws in the air.

Raffi is one of two therapy dogs in his family, and both bring smiles wherever they go!
